The role

We are seeking a proactive and technically skilled Field & Support Engineer to join our team. You will be at the forefront of delivering top-notch customer installations, ensuring seamless software and hardware integration, and providing essential after-sales support. Your role is critical in maintaining the high standards our clients expect from Simac PHI DATA.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Customer installations: Manage and execute customer installations according to project plans. Ensure timely and successful deployment of hardware and software solutions.
  • Project monitoring: Track, report, and communicate installation progress to the Project Lead and Team Lead, escalating potential issues as necessary.
  • Support & maintenance: Provide expert technical support as part of our after-sales services, including troubleshooting, system updates, and customer-specific customizations.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with our software development teams to test, validate, and implement new software versions and customized features.
  • Documentation: Maintain comprehensive project documentation to ensure clear communication and accountability across teams.

Who we’re looking for

You are a tech enthusiast with a passion for innovative solutions and a keen interest in RFID technology. You thrive in a team environment, excel under pressure, and are always ready to learn and adapt.

Key Qualifications:

  • Technology enthusiast: Passionate about new technologies, especially RFID and real-time location software.
  • Self-learner: Able to quickly learn new systems and solutions through both formal training and self-study.
  • Customer-focused: Dedicated to ensuring customer satisfaction through quality service and attention to detail.
  • Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills, with a collaborative spirit.
  • Technical skills: Proficient with Microsoft Office tools, with experience in SharePoint and collaboration tools like Microsoft Planner. Knowledge of IT/Dev domains like Microsoft Azure and databases is a plus.
  • Experience: A technical degree and 3+ years in a similar role are advantageous.
  • Languages: Fluent in Dutch and French; proficiency in English is a plus.
